Gibbous Moon Phase - Moon in Sagittarius

Ruling Mahavidya:  Bagalamukhi

Longtime readers know that when an owl is pictured, we need to pay special attention.

Today is the Solstice and those of us who revere the Earth (Sophia) celebrate nature every day, but the Solstices are a highlight - we have the highest light.  How much light can you contain today?

First Quarter Moon Phase - Moon in Libra

Ruling Mahavidya:  Bagalamukhi

Today, Sophia (the goddess embodied as the Earth) and Sabaoth (the divine being embodied as the Sun) connect with the Pleroma (the Galactic Center, home of the divine beings who are generators of our galaxy).  That's Gnostic-speak, but using these terms puts a different perspective on the event, doesn't it?  If I write "the Earth and the Sun make aspects to the Galactic Center today," the drama that is unfolding today falls flat.

The other players in the cast of characters today includes each of us and the Archons (who play the role of antagonists).

Saturday: Crescent Moon Phase Sunday: First Quarter Moon Phase - Moon in Virgo

Ruling Mahavidya:  Bagalamukhi

This weekend, wise owls will be more like seagulls and will practice the art of equilibrium.  We are perched high on branches that are billowing in the wind and we need to maintain a firm grasp.  Chiron stations retrograde while the Moon opposes it; Venus and the North Node make a trine (translation: emotional wounds and pain are pushed up to be dealt with so we can move toward what is better for us).
