You may have noticed the posts here slowed down a bit for the past 24 hours. We live in Northern California, which has been getting hit with heavy rains and there was an evacuation advisory due to a chance of the river flooding. The river rose up to the point it was touching the back of our house, but thankfully it didn't get any higher than that. Here's a video of what it looked like from my bedroom window:

Anyway, we're back now, and the site should be back up to speed shortly.

Black Knight also known as the Black Knight satellite is an alleged object orbiting Earth in near-polar orbit that ufologists and fringe authors believe is approximately 13,000 years old and of extraterrestrial origin. However it is most probable that Black Knight is the result of a conflation of a number of unrelated stories.

According to a recent article on The Huffington Post, Ben Speigel, a Concord teen, took shots in the night sky of the North End on Oct. 5, of a bright orb in the sky about an hour before the Bowe family reported their sighting.

Speigel said that a helicopter seemed to be following the orb. The orb, he said, was zigzagging back and forth across the sky. He took a picture on his iPod and then realized it was triangle shaped.

About a week later, Brad-Leah Seigars, a reader from Boscawen, shot a photo around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 11, of the orb flying over Boscawen, and submitted the picture to Concord NH Patch. The picture was taken above the Smoke Shack, a local BBQ joint, on King Street.
