Snow blanketed streets across northern Italy with up to a foot of accumulations on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013. The photo of snow in Lucca, Italy, on Monday was taken by Flickr user mirod.

Heavy snow fell over northern Italy Monday, even reaching the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.

Snow covered such northern cities as Milan, Torino, Piacenza and Parma.
