Residents of Europe, and the U.K. are feeling the frustration of a cold kickoff to spring.

In his daily forecast written Thursday, uk.weather.com Chief Meteorologist Leon Brown had a rather eye-popping headline:

"Coldest March Weekend in 50 Years!"
