Mandela Back in Hospital With Lung Infection [1]

JOHANNESBURG – Former President Nelson Mandela was admitted to the hospital to be treated for a recurring lung infection, South Africa’s current president, Jacob Zuma, said in a statement [2] from his office on Thursday, appealing for people around the world to pray for him.

It was the third time that Mr. Mandela, 94, South Africa’s first black president and former leader of the dominant African National Congress, had been hospitalized in the past four months.
