Big Story Weather from April 18: Another very active day yesterday with multiple tornado warnings and damage across portions of Illinois southward to Mississippi. Lots of rain fell yesterday near Chicago leading to flooding all throughout the Midwest. The cold air has regained strength again with many places in Texas and Oklahoma feeling the wrath of another frosty night. The snow flew over the Dakotas and into Minnesota again as well.
Big Story Weather Discussion for April 19: Low pressure moving into Southeast Canada will bring showers all up and down the East Coast with a few embedded thunderstorms from the Carolinas back to the Gulf Coast. No major severe weather forecasted for today, but be advised that there could be still snowfall with this storm over the Great Lakes where a few inches may accumulate. High pressure has slid into Texas and is bringing another round of very cold weather to the region with places in the Plains seeing high temps about 20 degrees below normal for this time of year and overnight lows approaching that crucial freezing point. Another round of showers will move into the Northwest.
