The American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC) is aiming to bring one million Americans together in Washington on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

In his statement Alam said that the 9/11 terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 against the World Trade Center in New York were not conducted by Muslims and "small but powerful group of people seized America, and abolished the freedoms which were gained with much difficulty, as the result of the 9/11 attacks," he stated.
