The problem of a fake ZERO

Transopedia.com's picture

For many people balance means having ups and downs together. For them for every bright side, there must be a dark side to balance. If there is a bad habit, there should be a good habit to balance. For every bad person, there must be a good person to balance. There are angles to balance devil. There are wealthy people ergo there must be poor to balance. Here is what I call the problem of ZERO.

People have been mal-educated by the concept of zero in a way to deeply internalize the idea. This makes them believe that the world is made of positives and negatives and a zero as a point of balance. I can’t think of any negative being. As long as something exists, we have no choice but looking at it as a positive being.

You may ask how about those misbehaviors we see every day. Well again I would say instead of seeing it as malicious traits like greediness or love of power, we can see it as having less of awareness, or being less awakened. Taking it as having less of something will make us think of ways to help the people who lack it. Instead of making a monster of them, we can then think of helping them to awaken to a higher level of consciousness. Having less of something is in no ways equal to having negative things as the word negative itself is what make dualities appear and creates distances and harm humanity and the whole universe in large.

Zero is fake and artificial therefore negative is fake and artificial, and beyond that, balance is something artificial. Whatever exists is made of positive and we are all on our way to a higher consciousness and should help each other in this path.

George Gurdjieff a man with a mission

Gurjieff - Transopedia.com

George Ivanovich Gurdjieff was an influential spiritual teacher of the early to mid-20th century who taught that most humans do not possess a unified mind-body consciousness and thus live their lives in a state of hypnotic "waking sleep", but that it is possible to transcend to a higher state of consciousness and achieve full human potential. Gurdjieff described a method attempting to do so, calling the discipline "The Work" (connoting "work on oneself") or "the Method". According to his principles and instructions, Gurdjieff's method for awakening one's consciousness unites the methods of the fakir, monk or yogi, and thus referred to it as the "Fourth Way". At one point, he described his teaching as being "esoteric Christianity".

At different times in his life, Gurdjieff formed and closed various schools around the world to teach The Work. He claimed that the teachings he brought to the West from his own experiences and early travels expressed the truth found in ancient religions and wisdom teachings relating to self-awareness in people's daily lives and humanity's place in the universe. The title of his third series of writings, Life Is Real Only Then, When 'I Am', expresses the essence  of his teachings. His complete series of books is entitled All and Everything.

Why shouldn't we try to build a better world?

meditation

It look obvious to an ordinary man that everybody should try his/her best to build a better world. However, it is not quite what is best to do! Just look around yourself and see what damages have people done with an intention to build a better world! People have destroyed nature, society, and the very foundation of humanity with an intention to build a better world. In the THE TAO, it is recommended not to try. Not to try in a sense that let the natural flow of the universe manages itself in an appropriate way. If we could just recognize ourselves as a part of this universe, then we would realize that the universe doesn't need our help to make it a better place. Instead, any unnatural and forceful action of us would be unnatural and alien to this system and make it worse. Understanding this image would stop us from forcing ourselves and everybody around us to become soldiers of salvation. Salvation does not need militant fighters. It simply needs harmony. What is called in Zoroastrianism as the law of ASHO, is the harmony of the universe with which we need to fell and align our being with, in order to find salvation, Nirvana, heavens of GOD, internal peace, or whatever you prefer to call it.

Zen Masters and Alan watts refers to these principles in the following videos:

Five reasons why you are not so real

Transopedia.com's picture

There might be reasons you may imagine yourself as a real being while there might be moment in your life in which you may have felt the nothingness of your being and the universe around you. Here is five reasons why you may have had a real experience:

1- Physics challenges our understanding of reality!

relativity

What is 2+2? You may say 4 and you may be right in most of the normal occasions. However in modern physics we look at this answer with a little bit more caution. If we are looking at event too large or too small then relativity or quantum physics may stop us from giving the same answer too quickly. To shuttles flying towards each other at an extreme speed of 200,000 km/s would not see themselves collapsing at the speed of 2+2 = 400,000 km/s! The same would go if you look at quantum events. This should make us rethink our understanding of reality and if we don't have a clue what reality is, then how would we call this world or ourselves REAL?

See a video about it here.

2- We are made of almost nothing!

Does "Free Will" exist at all?

Transopedia.com's picture

Free will

The concept of free will depends on the definition of “Decision” which might be not so clear after all. The question of “free will” is valid if only we accept that we can make a decision and we can make one of the possible options happen. However the new quantum physics believes (or at least hypothesizes) that almost what ever is possible happens and we feel like there is one of them happening as we observe only one of the infinite realities. If this theory if correct, then it means that we don’t decide which option to chose, rather we randomly continue our existence in one of the multiple realities created after each event! This gives us an illusion of decision making and free will while we have in different parallel reality chosen another option.

Here you can see a video about what Quantum Physics believes about Parallel Universes.
