Unleashing the Beast: Six Tips for Inspiring Creativity from the Source

words

‘It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation’ – Herman Melville.

The much sought-after and revered word ‘creativity’ has been propelled into super-star status by our elite and money-crazy society. In this day and age winning a slot on television to prove you’ve ‘got what it takes’ has reduced creativity to a caterwauling capitalist market place; with a machine spitting out the next imitation of what was once popular in the hope that investment comes up tops.

Throughout the ages, story has been used as a tool to explain how we deal with the world, obscured beneath layer upon layer of metaphor and symbolism, stories contain guidelines for life, and can be the best way to teach children basic morals through the challenges a character will face.

How to Channel Source Energy in our Creative Endeavors

“The Universe is saying, ‘allow me to flow through you unrestricted, and you will see the greatest magic you have ever seen.”- Klaus Joehle

Our only real task, mission, purpose, whatever you want to call it, we have here on Earth is to create. In fact, our entire life is just one big piece of art that we are creating as we go along. Source energy is in a state of constant creation. We are a fraction of source energy, so we are also in this state at all times, whether we know it or not.

On a large scale we are creating our life, but we also are creating in our day to day lives. It may come in the form of writing, painting, cooking, making music, or even just interacting with other people. We are creating stories, circumstances, feelings, physical activity etc… Although every single one of us is an artist to some extent or another, those that actually consider themselves artists know that by getting out of their heads and creating from their awareness purely, they are able to experience a state of transcending thought, which allows them to create some of their best and most divinely inspired works.

Using Ego to Your Advantage

dealing with ego

“The ultimate aim of ego is not to see something but to be something.”-Muhammed Iqbal

To a certain extent we need ego to exist in this physical dimension/plane. Without it, we would never get to experience the feeling of being a person, of meeting others, of being sad, angry, of falling in love, etc… The illusion of ego is necessary in order to play this little game of life we have going on. However, technically, the ego doesn’t actually exist.

It’s completely dependent on our belief in it in order to “be” something. But before we jump on the “death to ego” bandwagon, we must recognize that without ANY ego, we don’t get to take part in any of this. And before we go trying to kill it and fight with it, we must also come to terms with the fact that you can’t kill something that isn’t even real.

Heart Break: Using a Broken Heart to Confront our Fears

broken-heart

“Your task is not to seek for love but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” ~ Rumi

Love is the most powerful force in the universe, and in actuality, it is what we are, in our truest essence. As our ego begins to develop as a young adult we start identifying with it, instead of the love that we actually are. In this identification with our ego, we buy into the illusion that we must seek outside of ourselves for this love.

The further we drift from our own light and love that is already within us, the more we seek validation from another human being. As long as someone else is telling us how wonderful we are or how much they like us, we can feel worthy as a person. However, when we make another person the pure reason for our happiness, we also are giving them the power to be our demise...

Purifying Your Space of Negative Energy

“Positive or negative energy is exchanged like a fair trade, the more you give, the more you receive.” ~ Master Jin Kwon

Every space holds energy. Even though you can’t see it, you’ve probably sensed it. When you enter sacred places be it like temples, monasteries or meditation centers, we experience a state of calmness and peace. Simple reason is the positive intent, the constant cleansing of energy by using bells, chants, hymns, and even smudging. Smudging is an ancient practice used for healing and energy clearing.

The simple rule energy follows is, ‘like attracts like’. Our thoughts, feelings, intentions are voluntarily transfusing energy – positive thoughts attract positive energy and negative ones attract energy. Our house is an integral part of the space. We consciously and unconsciously create both permanent & temporary energy patterns. Feng Shui professes, whether positive or negative, gradually energy begins to clog and congest all around the house depending on the way we move around. This stagnant energy becomes directly proportional to our thoughts.

Why Moderation is the Key to Health & Happiness

detachment

“It takes tremendous courage to resist the lure of appearances. The power of being which is manifest in such courage is so great that the gods tremble in fear of it.” – Paul Tillich

No matter how long we’ve been traveling on the wrong road, we can always cut a new path toward a healthier one. There is always an opportunity to change course. One of the more powerful ways of changing course is to live more moderately. In a fast-paced world filled with faster-paced gadgets connecting us to vast amounts of information with faster and faster speeds, the time has never been more critical to moderate our lives. The lighter our load, the lighter we will feel. The less we own of the world, the more we are able to relate to the world. Indeed, the lighter we become, the more our inner light will shine.

Ownership is a tricky concept. We never really “own” anything. It’s borrowed, at best. And the more thing-things-things that pile up in our lives, the sharper our dissociation to reality becomes, and the more alienated we feel. Even the gadgets that connect us seem to separate us somehow, as the illusion of connection overwhelms and suppresses the need for it.

Connecting Sacred Geometry and Spirituality with Daniel Kage

“There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres.” – Pythagoras

Every single matter in the Universe is based on geometric shapes. From the most minuscule particles, atoms, cells, molecules, to the greater Cosmos, follow geometrical archetypes underlying the principle of oneness. Daniel C. Kage, a master geometer and sculptor based in Vienna, Austria, explores Nature’s randomness and elaborates hidden patterns through his incredible 3D creations. His ingenious craft to display Mandalas is inspired by Japanese art of Origami and it reflects the connection between the beauty of men, nature, the Universe and the spiritual world.

It’s Time For a New Paradigm of Scientific Thought

science moving beyond

Science cannot evolve without change, and there is a dire need for change in its fundamental philosophy. The Oxford Dictionary defines materialism as “the doctrine that nothing exists except matter and its movements and modifications”.

Materialism is the paradigm of scientific philosophy under which the vast majority of contemporary scientists operate. It is essentially the belief that everything can be explained in physical terms, and that there is no need to explore anything further.

Why are most scientists operating within this doctrine when science has already demonstrated many examples of non-physical phenomena? Well, our mainstream science culture certainly tends to reflect materialist values in media such as internet articles and websites, television shows and news...

Five Unconscious Beliefs that May be Holding You Back

life-lessons

“Words can inspire, and words can destroy. Choose yours well.” –Robin Sharma

We do not see the world as it is, but rather as we are. The thoughts, beliefs and expectations we hold about ourselves, others or life in general are what we spotlight and amplify in the physical world.

For example, if a person repeatedly thinks the thought, “No one ever helps me do anything, I always have to do everything myself,” it will eventually turn into a deep rooted belief. Once the belief is strongly held, that person will start to recognize every situation that reinforces the belief.

Eventually the power of belief and intention takes over and starts to draw situations to that person that reinforces the thought. They find themselves in circumstance after circumstance where no one is helping.

A Philosophical Inquiry into the Wisdom of Mahatma Gandhi

Mahatma GandhiGandhi was a paragon of virtue, an icon of iconoclasm. He was the type of person who took the world for what it was, took inventory of his own personal power, and then did his absolute best to be the change he wished to see in the world. He was a shining example of living by example, and he was not afraid of challenging the powers-that-be.

In this article we will break down seven juicy nuggets of Gandhian wisdom through a philosophical lens. Maybe by standing on the shoulder of this giant we can see even further than he did. And maybe we too can become the change we wish to see in the world.

1. “Be the change you wish to see in the world”
“The inner world is the world of your requirements and your energies and your structure and your possibilities that meets the outer world...
