In 1903, the remains of a 25 year old woman were found by Natalia Polosmak, a Russian scientist. This mummy became known as the Ukok Princess. With modern technology, we have been able to learn much more about her life. An MRI has revealed to us that the young woman suffered breast cancer and a bone marrow infection at her time of death. The scientists also believe that she used marijuana to treat the pain.
