Why is California Untouched by this Extreme Weather?

willsbitchymotherinlaw's picture

It just seems odd to me that California seems to be immune from all this extreme weather.

I look outside and see nothing by perfect sunny weather, while the rest of the nation is inundated with weather.

Not only that, but I normally expect an earthquake every now and then to shake me out of bed, and especially with all the dire predictions of earthquakes and tsunamis, but there's nothing but balmy weather and peaceful land masses.

What to make of this?  Is California protected in some fashion for some reason?

If we view the extreme weather as God's vengence on the U.S., it wouldn't make any sense for east and mid-west states to be pummelled, and SF & LA to be unscathed, so that can't be what's happening.  It's almost like the opposite is happening.

Just an observation from my perspective.
