Anonymous Hacks Department of Justice Website, Threatens to Launch 'Multiple Warheads'

The website belonging to the United States Sentencing Commission is down this morning, following a hack by Anonymous overnight. The site, which normally bears information about sentencing guidelines for federal crimes, instead showed a nearly 10 minute long YouTube video and the same message typed below it.

The hacktivist collective claims its takedown of the site belonging to the U.S. Department of Justice is in response to the suicide of Reddit programmer Aaron Swartz. At the time of his death, Swartz faced up to 35 years in prison on federal computer fraud charges. According to Anonymous, Swartz was "killed" and a "line was crossed":

Two weeks ago today, a line was crossed. Two weeks ago today, Aaron Swartz was killed. Killed because he faced an impossible choice. Killed because he was forced into playing a game he could not win — a twisted and distorted perversion of justice — a game where the only winning move was not to play.

I've Been Following This Story

This is really getting interesting.  I've been keeping an eye on the comments per the AOL news headline, and believe you me, there are alot of comments taking place, even as I write this.  This is turning into a very huge story.  Anonymous is taking a stand to bring out more Wiki Leaks type information that will assuredly embarrass and shame those criminals who are responsible for the death of their associate Aaron Swartz, plus those who are, so to say, "giving the orders".

If you get a chance, go to the story and take a look at the comments that are coming up.  People are angry, confused and some, well informed.  Even I have made a comment or two.  Check it out.  Perhaps you'll even put your two cents worth in.  I got the feeling that we've not heard the end of this one.  This may be the cornerstone of the Global Elite meltdown.  We'll see.

Love and Light.
