Journey to Awaken: Choosing to be Freeen

By Linda Lubin

I have not been posting much lately, as life has been so full, and the shifts we are going through are happening so fast, that it is difficult to step back and comment on what is coming forward. I could do that and by the time I finished writing about it, it would all have changed.

I love listening to Suzy Miller on the Awakening Zone. At the beginning of each show, she reports on the energy we are currently experiencing. The past two shows, she has had to pause and feel into the energy as she was speaking, because it was changing even as she was speaking. See what I mean?? The only constant in life is change, and this is true now more than ever before.

The next three months are going to be intense to the extreme. This intensity may be experienced in a hugely expansive, empowering, freeing manner, or it may feel like you've been hit over the head by a two-by-four. Sometimes you will experience both aspects in the same day, and sometimes you will experience them in the same moment. This is partially because time is no longer strictly linear, and so we may have multi-layered experiences from moment to moment. It sure does make life interesting.

We have become so accustomed to the constant and often dramatic shifts of energy, and the changes in our consciousness, in our lives, that if it slows down even for a day, we feel bored. And then when it starts back up again we wish we could be bored again! No pleasing us :)

What to do? Well, quite simply, as Adamus St. Germaine is fond of saying, "take a deep breath." Amazing how helpful that can be in those moments of overwhelm.

Also, and most importantly, keep your eye on the big picture. Know that what you are going through is part of not just a planetary shift, but a cosmic shift. Simple words on paper (or your computer in this case) which one can easily ignore as hyperbole. Yet I know them to be true with all my heart and soul. I cannot convince you of this though. It is something you need to come to on your own. And when you do, it's the biggest game changer of all. Because suddenly you begin to realize that all your complaints, fears, frustrations, troubles, are simply experiences you have chosen to have in this human body. You can feed them and fuel them by giving them all your attention, or you can step away a bit and observe them. Observe them in the context of their being an opportunity for you to evolve, for you to free yourself from believing that they are so very important.

And when you do this, when you see them as a cage, a prison that you have expertly constructed and then locked yourself within, then you see you have a choice. The choice is to get up, open the door (which was never actually locked), and walk out. Typically, when we do this, we want to then run back in and slam the door shut. We are unaccustomed to freedom and it scares the heck out of us. We long for the familiarity of our cell.

If however we can step out of our prison, and stay out there, we then not only attain enlightenment, but we shift the energy on the planet, and thus in the cosmos as well. Because it's all interconnected. And what happens here, what happens to you, impacts everything in the cosmos.

How do we step out of our prisons? By seeing the stories we are holding onto. The stories that tell us that we can't be free because this, this, and this has to happen first. We have to pay the bills, enjoy good health, leave a marriage, see our children grown and happy. We have to live in a certain place, or have more time, or lose twenty pounds.

What if we could drop those stories? What if we realized that true freedom doesn't come after those conditions are resolved, but even while they are going on? For me, it's my health that is my story. I tell myself that I need to be fully healthy, and feel great, before I can be free. What a load of poop. I can be free right now, right this moment, even though my body is feeling unwell. I can see this as simply an experience I am having, and it has no bearing on the essence of who I am, of what I bring to the world, of my ability to change the cosmos by letting go of my story about my health.

Recently I encountered a woman who represents the life I always yearned for and never had. She travels the world, connects with all sorts of interesting people, is a highly successful coach for a large, empowerment organization. She's healthy, and is blessed with two grandchildren. In the past I would have said "I WANT HER LIFE!!!" But not now. Why? Because I had the opportunity to see how deeply embedded she is in her ego, in her stories, and how deeply in pain she is as a result. It was jaw dropping for me. Would I now trade my life for hers, knowing what I know to be true? Not a chance. Seeing this has helped me drop a big story I'd been carrying around for a long time, mostly unconsciously.

See what I did? I constructed a prison for myself with my beliefs. And suddenly, like Alice in Wonderland, I saw them flip over. I saw how my health issues have forced me to go deep, to focus on the evolution of my consciousness. I chose to have this experience. Of course, theoretically I knew all this before. But seeing this other woman, it suddenly clicked in a way it hadn't before.

You may want to take your own journey down the rabbit hole and discover the truth of the stories you have been telling yourself. As Alice discovered, nothing is as it seems in Wonderland, in our lives on earth. We create illusion after illusion of imprisonment with our beliefs, our stories. Like Alice, you too can see them for what they are, and wake up from this dream.

And when you do, freedom, true freedom awaits you.

Thank you for the breath of fresh spiritual air.  That is the crux of the whole matter. It is a refreshing change from all of the blogs on how 'SOON' everything will happen, ad infinitum. Thanks
