I continue with some passages of material attributed to Sananda from Eric Klein’s The Crystal Stair (1990) to give us yet another historical view of how Ascension has been discussed for quite some time.

I’ve said earlier that Imperator, Beinsa Douno, Silver Birch and others were discussing it back in the late Nineteenth and early Twentieth Centuries. I’m sure there are many more who were as well. A 1990 discussion is almost current, but still twenty years back. But most of what Sananda says is almost identical to what’s being said now; a few things are not. Let’s listen in on more of the things he says.

I will speak about the requirements for [Ascension]. Yes, we have requirements. I use the word ratyher facetiously, for compared to the requirements for those who have already ascended before this time, they are really rather easy requirements.

First of all it is necessary to have some understanding of God, to have an open heart towards that aspect of your higher self. It does not matter so much how you philosophize or view this or label it, but to have an awareness of your Creator, your higher self. You need to have an openness within your heart, to have an open heart and as best you can to love yourself unconditionally, for this is where it begins, and then to love unconditionally all that you seem, all that you meet.  IOn fact to be a love radiator.

Many of you are so beautiful, it is redundant for me to speak of this. But nevertheless it is a requirement. It is not necessary for you to understand scientifically all that will occur in the Ascension process. In  fact, I do not think that anyone in this room could grasp it without a great deal of education. But there is some information that you can study if you wish to understand intellectually how this occurs.

[Sananda recommends the Keys of Enoch and the Urantia Book, but only for those who feel they need more intellectual niunderstanding.]

However, it is not necessary for you to understand any more than the limited explanation I have already given you. It is more of an awareness, more of an expression of love in your heart, an openness to the process, a longing to return, a longing to knowyour true completion and to complete your spiritual growth here on Earth. That’s it. You see, it is not very difficult, is it?

In fact, when the first wave of Ascension offucrs, if you are giving yourself to this process and desiri9ng the Ascension, you can have the experiecne of Ascension even in your sleep. You do not need to become a great saint or yogi.
