Time To Lace Up Our Big Boots

Baby steps are a necessary part of any growth and development, but there comes a time when the location we need to go to next cannot be traversed using baby steps.
That time is now. Using the next 10 days wisely, we can put on our new big boots and
practice taking some really big steps!

Day 1 (today): Lace up your big boots and walk around. Imagine yourself tackling a project that feels intimidating to you.

Day 2: Put those boots back on. You can tighten the laces a little more after stretching them out a bit yesterday. Think about that project that stirs passion in your blood and identify your biggest obstacle.

Day 3: Your big boots actually feel comfortable today! You also have an amazing idea on working around the obstacle you identified yesterday. It might not feel "complete" but you know you're on the right track!

Day 4: When you laced up your boots, you were able to do it by feel instead of having to look at what you were doing. Today, someone you may not even know is looking for  you. They have a piece of the puzzle that fits perfectly with yours.

Day 5: Goodness, but your new big boots have some dust on them- good job! You are halfway through this practice session. Take the day to love yourself and all those who have come forward to help you get closer to your project.

Day 6: Lace 'em up, dust 'em off and let's get busy! Today is the day to look at your project from a different point of view. How would your project benefit the greater good? If that answer is hazy, then how can you modify your project so that more can benefit from your hard work?

Day 7: You look great in big boots! Baby steps seem like so long ago now don't they? After the introspection yesterday, you now have even more clarity on your project. What is one single thing that you can do today that will get you closer to your goal? Yes! Now go out and do it.

Day 8: Don't worry about the scratches on your big boots, wear them with pride. Today is the day when you will actively seek out help from others. Yep, time for some cooperative living. This may feel uncomfortable to you, especially if you are used to being in charge and having all the answers. Cooperation my friend is the core lesson of this 10-day period.

Day 9: Put on your big boots, we're going out for a long hike today. You may experience some blisters and some fatigue but you'll feel soooo good at the end of the day. Your calls for help have been answered. As you sort through them you can quickly discern those that make sense to you and those that do not. Thank them all for their input. Continue your dialogue with your new allies and make a group goal for everyone to jointly tackle tomorrow.

Day 10 (Spring Equinox): Your big boots now fit you like a glove, they are broken in, a bit scuffed and dirty but comfortable. You have some work to do today in your group, but with all the experience and ideas at your disposal you are going to be amazed at what the group can accomplish. If where you are today doesn't resemble your Day 1 goal, that's ok! You have taken your raw individual idea, strapped on the big boots and taken a series of HUGE steps towards cooperative problem solving. You are now a bigger you because you are fused with other like-minded beings.
You are me;
I am you;
look at all the good we do!

You cannot jump a chasm in 2 small steps. Today is the day to pack away the baby shoes and lace up those big boots!
