May Monthly Visions Part 2: The Disconnection prior to the New Connection

 

I’ve never before felt the energetic phase we are in right now. We could really say that every month these days, but this is different. Where before it felt like we were turning pages, moving at ever increasing rates from chapter to chapter, we’re now in the phase where it feels like we’ve jumped into a new book.  I have written about aspects of this, talked about things we may expect, but it’s another thing entirely to be here experiencing it.

 

As is always the case, the living experience of something is very different to the knowing of it. We can have visions or inner messages or read about something to come, and think that’s a way of being prepared – and to a degree it is. Yet there is that ‘unknown’ factor – how the living of it will make us feel. We can’t know that until we’re going through it.

May 2013 Monthly Visions Part 1:  Intensification and Polarisation

 

In all the years of writing these Monthly Visions, this month’s has definitely been the most challenging. Usually there is a very clear overall theme being experienced by the collective, with us all as individuals expressing variants on these themes in our own personal ways. This month it has been almost impossible to pin down a clear collective theme, at least in the usual way it comes through.

 

At first glance the energies seem disjointed and fragmented, like jigsaw puzzle pieces all floating around either unable or unwilling to put themselves together into one harmonious whole. Many pieces are experiencing a magnetic ‘pushback’ from other pieces, and this is happening on multiple levels.

Feds delay approval of new Monsanto crops over environmental concerns

Biotech giant Monsanto faced a surprising setback after federal authorities refused to approve a new generation of genetically-engineered crops that could survive an unprecedented use of herbicides.

Monsanto was awarded a big win on Monday by the United States Supreme Court, but another federal ruling made only days earlier brought some comparatively bad news to the biotech giant.

The US Department of Agriculture announced Friday that they’ve ordered additional environmental impact statements (EIS) for herbicide-resistant crops that have been waiting for federal approval. Now Monsanto and the chemical company Dow will have to sit anxiously and await the results of those assessments before they are given the go-ahead to sell genetically-engineer plants that have raised serious environmental issues.

Extensive Glacial Retreat in Mount Everest Region Reported In New Study

A new study finds a decline in snow and ice on Mount Everest (second peak from left) and the national park surrounding it.

 

The glacial regions around the highest peak in the world are melting and researchers report  the melt has been happening for decades, with temperatures rising and snowfall declining since the 1990s. Glaciers in the Mount Everest religion have shrunk by 13 percent in the last 50 years and the snowline has shifted upwards by 180 meters (590 feet) according to the study's lead author, Sudeep Thakuri.

 

Since the 1960s, small glaciers of less than one square kilometer have been disappearing most rapidly, with a 43 percent surface decline. The receding ice and snow is melting faster than it can be replaced, researchers report, revealing rocks and debris that were previously hidden under thick layers of ice.

Solar Flare

 

After not producing any X-class eruptions all year, the Sun has roared to life this week, producing its fourth X-class solar flare of the week on Tuesday. Tuesday's flare came from the same region as the previous X-class flares this week, an active sunspot region known as AR1748. Prior to this week the sunspot region did not even have a name and was difficult to see, but as the region continues to rotate towards Earth, scientists will be able to observe it more clearly. 

 

Registering at X1.2, Tuesday's flare was the weakest of this week's X-class flares, which are the most powerful type of flares that the Sun can unleash. Monday night's X3.2 flare was the strongest of the year. The numbers the flares are assigned correlate to their strength. An X2 is twice as intense as an X1; an X3 is three times as intense, and so on.
