So it would appear the die is cast and that cannabis is set to be reclassified to a class B drug, bringing with it more arrests, more prison sentences, and more expense.

In the meantime, Dutch Police in Amsterdam are complaining about their rights to use cannabis when off-duty and as if that wasn't enough to prove the futility of trying to outlaw a substance which is a long way safer than either alcohol or tobacco, we now have a consultant pediatrician from the US, claiming marijuana (or cannabis) can be used ON CHILDREN, in the treatment of ADD or ADHD? So who's telling us lies? 

Dr Claudia Jenson, who is a consultant pediatrician from USC, has come up with a novel way of treating ADD/ADHD, WITHOUT any of the unwanted side effects which can result from using popularly prescribed medicines.
Attention deficit Disorder, or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD) is a biological, brain based condition that is characterized by poor attention and distractibility and/or hyperactive and impulsive behaviors. It is one of the most common mental disorders that develop in children. Symptoms can continue into adolescence and adulthood.

  If I had a dime for every time I heard the above quote, I would be a rich man by now. Not that I care about monetary possessions, however the reason I bring this up, it is because I didn’t know what that phrase really meant, so I went on my way through life, ignorant of its meaning.  It was not until late last year that I began experiencing “the call of the heart”. 
 
   Oh boy did it call all right!

I was a bit reluctant to open the messages for this week’s rites. I was apprehensive about what I would find. I felt that what I had learned the previous week was so intense that I wondered if I were ready to learn something new. However, when I listened to the Mp3 message, the music and chants resonated so strongly with me that I was greatly receptive to the message.

 

Monday – October 8, 2012

 

I woke up with the following on my mind: Is this group consciousness the home I’ve been looking for? Is this where I want to plant my feet and serve my devotion? I think I’ve already made that choice. Yes.

 

I find this week’s message to be highly challenging so I’ve made some notes.

 

The needs of the whole outweigh the needs of the one.

 

Thinking of myself as receptive instead of resistant.

Back in 2003, Oxford professor Nick Bostrom suggested that we may be living in a computer simulation. In his paper, Bostrom offered very little science to support his hypothesis — though he did calculate the computational requirements needed to pull off such a feat. And indeed, a philosophical claim is one thing, actually proving it is quite another. But now, a team of physicists say proof might be possible, and that it's a matter of finding a cosmological signature that would serve as the proverbial Red Pill from the Matrix. And they think they know what it is.

According to Silas Beane and his team at the University of Bonn in Germany, a simulation of the universe should still have constraints, no matter how powerful. These limitations, they argue, would be observed by the people within the simulation as a kind of constraint on physical processes.
