Five reasons why you are not so real's picture

There might be reasons you may imagine yourself as a real being while there might be moment in your life in which you may have felt the nothingness of your being and the universe around you. Here is five reasons why you may have had a real experience:

1- Physics challenges our understanding of reality!

What is 2+2? You may say 4 and you may be right in most of the normal occasions. However in modern physics we look at this answer with a little bit more caution. If we are looking at event too large or too small then relativity or quantum physics may stop us from giving the same answer too quickly. To shuttles flying towards each other at an extreme speed of 200,000 km/s would not see themselves collapsing at the speed of 2+2 = 400,000 km/s! The same would go if you look at quantum events. This should make us rethink our understanding of reality and if we don't have a clue what reality is, then how would we call this world or ourselves REAL?

See a video about it here.

2- We are made of almost nothing!

Science vs Religion - The False Dichotomy

Duane Townsend's picture

Candidly...If you believe that one belief system explains all things, that what you believe has no deficiencies or gaps in its fabric of cognizance, then you're wearing blinders. You're bedazzled by a set mind, self deluded and intractably self made ignorant. There is no more intractable, rigid people found  than those who identify as material atheists and the fundamentally religious.

I was reticent to write this, especially because the people I'm addressing are actually a small minority segment of the worlds' population. But this attitude, this false dichotomy, dominates the conversational idea exchange of humanity. I think it needs to be examined and exposed for the consciousness constricting fabrication that it is. This 'false dichotomy', also known as black and white thinking, and 'all or nothing' thinking, keeps humanity on the merry go round of intellectual mediocrity. It hinders asking the more powerful questions humanity could be asking of itself, and life, and keeps humans intellectually herded into manageable flocks.

Centuries-old frozen plants revived

Silver's picture

BBCNews, By: BBC, 05/27/2013

Samples of 400-year-old plants known as bryophytes have flourished under laboratory conditions. Researchers say this back-from-the-dead trick has implications for how ecosystems recover from the planet's cyclic long periods of ice coverage. The findings appear in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. They come from a group from the University of Alberta, who were exploring an area around the Teardrop Glacier, high in the Canadian Arctic.

The glaciers in the region have been receding at rates that have sharply accelerated since 2004, at about 3-4m per year. That is exposing land that has not seen light of day since the so-called Little Ice Age, a widespread climatic cooling that ran roughly from AD 1550 to AD 1850.

Compressing air for renewable energy storage

Desert Gypsy's picture 5/20/13

Enough Northwest wind energy to power about 85,000 homes each month could be stored in porous rocks deep underground for later use, according to a new, comprehensive study. Researchers at the Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Bonneville Power Administration identified two unique methods for this energy storage approach and two eastern Washington locations to put them into practice.

Compressed air energy storage plants could help save the region’s abundant wind power — which is often produced at night when winds are strong and energy demand is low — for later, when demand is high and power supplies are more strained. These plants can also switch between energy storage and power generation within minutes, providing flexibility to balance the region’s highly variable wind energy generation throughout the day.

Nanocrystals Used to Grow Intricate "Garden" In Harvard Lab

Natureworldnews, By: James A. Foley, 05/18/2013

These false-color SEM images reveal microscopic flower structures created by manipulating a chemical gradient to control crystalline self-assembly.

In a tiny garden in Boston petals fan out on tiny flower stems. Curved and delicate, row and rows of complex flower shapes form a feast for the eyes, spiraling like the tubes of a French horn and twisting round like finely blown glass.

Except the scene is not exactly in a garden; it's in a laboratory. And it's not exactly flowers; it's crystals being grown into flower-like shapes. And you can't exactly see it unless you have an electron microscope, because the garden is only microns in size, the nanoscopic crystal "garden" was grown at a Harvard lab. The nanogarden shows great promise for scientists trying to better understand how complex shapes like those seen in flowers evolved in nature.

Science and Spirituality: Chat Room tomorrow at 9:00 am PST

lemme howdt's picture

Tomorrow morning, thursday equinox 3/21/13 - Dr. Lenny Thyme - lemme's alter ego - will be conducting a formal group discussion on science and spirituallity in the tinychatroom at  .

The discussion will take place from a 3D science perspective - attempting to figure out what we can believe and what we really do not know.  The borders of consciousness are found in molecular water - as above, so below holds according to the Fibonacci sequence. (note the date contains three fibonacci numbers)

The idea is to bring science to everybody's understanding level.  This is an experiment - lemme doesn't want to lose people, but there are things we think we know that we have no idea aren't real.   There are many topics in science - Dr. Lenny Thyme is a PhD chemist/philosopher and shares his blog with lemme - who is a poet and a bard.  We hope to have fun - no topic is off limits, although some will be postponed to a later date.

We are going to figure out a common form of 5-D that people can grok.  Namaste'

Scientists Say They've Discovered 'God Particle'

Desert Gypsy's picture, Associated Press

This undated image made available by CERN shows a typical candidate event in the search for the Higgs boson, including two high-energy photons whose energy (depicted by red lines) is measured in the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter. The yellow lines are the measured tracks of other particles produced in the collision.

GENEVA -- Scientists working at the world's biggest atom smasher near Geneva have announced they are confident that the new subatomic particle discovered last summer is a version of the long-sought Higgs boson. The particle bears key attributes of the so-called "God particle" that was theorized nearly a half-century ago as fundamental to the creation of the universe. It took thousands of scientists from around the world to hunt the particle in the atom-smasher operated by CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.

What Exactly is the God Particle?

Everything is made of atoms, inside of which are electrons, protons and neutrons. And those, in turn, are made of quarks and other subatomic particles. Scientists have wondered how these tiny building blocks of the universe acquire mass. Without mass, the particles wouldn't hold together - and there would be no matter.

Water of Love

lemme howdt's picture

Good Day and Love to All -

The energy rising within us seeks an outlet in the rational mind - finds solace in the loving heart.  Science and Spirituality connect together in the form of consciousness - our water enables us to achieve a state of balance - based on distribution of energy via the alignment of the water molecules.  Once intent is introduced, our water can connect to water everywhere and introduce an outcome that creates our 5D world.

Water is one of those substances that we know all about, and yet know very little about.  3D science has some very concrete rules for how water works and how it doesn't work - these rules are not anything that the water molecules pay any attention to - they just vibrate when they feel the love in our heart.

Water is the universal solvent - it dissolves salts and carries blood though our bodies.  Water molecules align with each other to form networks of communication, to instantly transfer thought to action.  The waters of biochemistry are individual molecules that are connected to proteins and enzymes, and yet disconnected from the bulk of solvent water;  they take shape by holding on to oxygen and nitrogen atoms by strong polar interaction.  Once in place, a bio-water molecule merges into the ultimate being.  Water is a fractal form of life itself, on every scale.
