Inflation Is A Hidden Tax And The Federal Reserve Is Taxing The Living Daylights Out Of Us

Ronald Reagan once famously declared that inflation is a tax, but sadly most Americans did not really grasp what he was talking about. If the American people truly understood what inflation was doing to them, they would be screaming bloody murder about monetary policy. Inflation is an especially insidious tax because it is not just a tax on your income for one year. It is a continual tax on every single dollar that you own. As your money sits in the bank, it is constantly losing value. Over time, the effects of inflation can be absolutely devastating. For example, if you put 100 dollars in the bank in 1970, those same dollars today would only have about 17 percent of the purchasing power that they did back then. In essence, you were hit by an 83 percent “inflation tax” and all you did was leave your money in the bank. So who is responsible for this? Well, the Federal Reserve controls monetary policy in the United States, and the inflationary monetary policy that the Fed has gotten all of us accustomed to is taxing the living daylights out of us. This is madness, and it needs to stop.

Native American Tribe Vows To Hold EPA Accountable For Toxic Spill In Colorado

The Navajo Nation declared a state of emergency this week after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) revealed they were responsible for not one, but three million gallons of toxic mining wastewater spilled into the Animas River in Colorado. According to the EPA, the contamination is composed of cadmium, arsenic, lead, aluminum, and copper.

Navajo Nation President Russell Begaye vowed to hold the EPA fully responsible for its spill, saying “The EPA was right in the middle of the disaster, and we intend to make sure the Navajo Nation recovers every dollar it spends cleaning up this mess and every dollar it loses as a result of injuries to our precious Navajo natural resources.”

18 CEOs Called Out By Bernie Sanders For Taking Trillions In Bailouts, Evading Taxes, And Outsourcing Jobs

Senator Sanders, in his no-nonsense approach, released a report identifying 18 CEOs responsible for wrecking the economy.

Bernie Sanders is the underdog in the American political race, but he’s quickly gaining momentum as a prime candidate to lead the US, as his no-nonsense, candor approach is appreciated by many – especially the millennial generation.

In response to 80 CEOS recently publishing a letter on the Wall Street Journal lecturing America about deficit reduction and urging them to “act on the deficit and reform Medicaid and Medicare,” Sanders had the following to say:

There really is no shame. The Wall Street leaders whose recklessness and illegal behavior caused this terrible recession are now lecturing the American people on the need for courage to deal with the nation’s finances and deficit crisis. Before telling us why we should cut Social Security, Medicare and other vitally important programs, these CEOs might want to take a hard look at their responsibility for causing the deficit and this terrible recession.

US Govt Agency Admits That Marijuana Extracts Can Kill Cancer Cells

Source: www.reset.me | Original Post Date: April 10, 2015 –

Marijuana can help in the fight against cancer, according to the United States Federal Government.

Say what?

Yes, that’s the same United States Federal Government which classifies cannabis as a Schedule I controlled substance with no accepted medical benefits. Since 1970, it has been categorically illegal to sell, possess or grow marijuana under federal law. Yet posted for all the world to see on the National Institute of Drug Abuse website is this paragraph:

“Recent animal studies have shown that marijuana extracts may help kill certain cancer cells and reduce the size of others...

Study: Psilocybin Mushrooms Stimulate Growth Of New Brain Cells

Source: www.reset.me | Original Post Date: May 28, 2015 –

Psychedelic mushrooms already have a reputation for helping people open their minds and broaden their perspective on the world. They have shown an ability to combat mental disorders like depression and anxiety. Now, research is showing that the magic mushrooms can actually help physically rebuild a damaged brain.

In a study conducted by the University of South Florida and published in 2013 in theExperimental Brain Research journal, researchers measured the effects of mushrooms on mice that had been conditioned to fear certain stimuli.

The results were striking: Not only could psilocybin, the main active ingredient in psychedelic mushrooms, help them get over their fear, it promoted cell growth and regeneration in their brains.

A homeless shelter in Atlanta decided that their residents desperately needed access to healthy food—but instead of sourcing out, encouraged residents to grow their own.

Organic vegetables and community gardens are typically associated with well-meaning, tote bag-carrying, volunteer at the Coop (and never miss a shift) types. But good, local, nutritious food shouldn’t be expensive, and shouldn’t only be enjoyed by people who can afford it. A homeless shelter in Atlanta decided that their residents desperately needed access to healthy food—but instead of sourcing out, encouraged residents to grow their own. Now, the shelter is home to a huge rooftop garden planted by the residents themselves, which is expected to yield hundreds of pounds of great quality greens.

Families Of 9/11 Victims On Verge Of Proving Government Cover Up In Court

SM Gibson
August 10, 2015

(ANTIMEDIA) For many years, rumors have circulated regarding the U.S. government’s involvement in an active cover-up of a sinister connection between Saudi Arabia and the terrorist attacks of 9/11. In fact, 28 redacted pages from a congressional intelligence report  are said to contain damning information that implicates the Saudis in the 2001 mass murder of American citizens. Despite a bipartisan effort to release the information, the now notorious 28 pages are still being withheld from the public under the predictable guise of “national security.”

Now, thanks to a federal lawsuit in a Manhattan court, there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Anchor Walks Off Live TV In Disgust After Refusing To Report On Kardashians

SM Gibson
August 10, 2015

(ANTIMEDIAHow many people do you know that would agree with the following statement? “I’ve had enough of the Kardashians…I’m sick of this family! (They’re) a non-story!” I believe most of us, including myself, would shout “amen” at the top of their lungs like it’s a Sunday in the South if we heard someone in the media utter those words. Well, get ready to holler.

The above exclamations are actually direct quotes spoken by Orlando-area news anchor John Brown during a live broadcast of “Good Day Orlando” on Friday.

After covering the usual local news, the show began to transition into a segment about one of the Kardashian daughters recently naming her new pet rabbit “Bruce.” (Just typing that sentence made me want to launch my fist into the computer screen where my pupils are currently fixated. Rest assured, I’m still typing, so I obviously mustered up all of the self-control in my being and refrained.) That’s when Brown interrupted the correspondent reporting the “story” in mid-sentence:

Former Trader Joes Exec Opens Non-Profit, Low Price Organic Food Store

Source: www.trueactivist.com | Original Post Date: June 8, 2015 –

Doug Rauch, the former president of Trader Joes, has recently opened up a low price, nonprofit grocery store in Dorchester, Massachusetts. The store will help to make healthy, organic food more available for people on tight budgets.

The store is called the Daily Table, and they are able to provide such cheap food because they source their food through donations and overstocked items. However, the food is just as good as the food that you would find at Trader Joes, Whole Foods, or any other organic food market.

We can offer these daily values by working with a large network of growers, supermarkets, manufacturers and other suppliers who donate their excess, healthy food to us, or provide us with special buying opportunities,”...

Senegal Transforming 14,000 Villages Into Ecovillages!

“You think there is just a desert and a tyrannical regime, with nothing happening on the ground. And then you go in, and find all these people doing fantastic work in their communities, like peace projects, environmental justice projects and community building. Suddenly, you have a totally different image and landscape emerging from a country.” (Source)

These are words spoken by Kosha Joubert, President of GEN International, whose work revolves around finding and connecting sustainable communities and initiatives across the globe.

The Ecovillage Movement Is Growing In Senegal

Senegal is the perfect example of such initiatives, with its government having launched a program to transition a total of 14,000 traditional villages into models of ecologically, socially, economically, and culturally sustainable living! As of now, 100 traditional villages have already transitioned into ecovillages, with a goal of 500 by 2018.
