Massive changes to seafloor seen from July eruption of underwater volcano near Kermadec

New Zealand scientists investigating an active undersea volcano that erupted three months ago have discovered significant changes to the seafloor. Niwa research ship Tangaroa has mapped the Kermadec volcano that erupted 800km northeast of Tauranga on July 19, producing a pumice raft the size of Canterbury. The eruption was strong enough to breach the ocean surface from a depth of 1100 meters.

 

It was captured by a Nasa satellite, and a Royal New Zealand Air Force Orion patrol spotted the pumice on their way back home from Samoa. Niwa’s volcanologist Dr Richard Wysoczanski, who is leading the 23-day expedition, said there had been volcanic activity every year for the past decade, but this was the largest by far. “It is a substantial eruption. Had it occurred on land in New Zealand, it would have been a bit of a disaster.”

Earthquake swarms and a region-wide rotten egg smell recently reminded Southern California residents they live next to an active volcano field, tiny though it may be. At the time, scientists said the phenomena did not reflect changes in the magma chamber below the Salton Sea. But now, researchers may need to revise estimates of the potential hazard posed by the Salton Buttes — five volcanoes at the lake’s southern tip.

 

The buttes last erupted between 940 and 0 B.C., not 30,000 years ago, as previously thought, a new study detailed online Oct. 15 in the journal Geology reports. The new age — which makes these some of California’s youngest volcanoes — pushes the volcanic quintuplets into active status. The California Volcano Observatory, launched in February by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), already lists the area as a high threat for future blasts.

Years ago, the name Nageetah came to mind when my sister first introduced me to posting on the internet. When she asked me what I wanted as a screen name Nageetah automatically came alive. Nageetah01 was my screen name. I had not posted on the net again until coming home here. My posts on the AOL Black Focus boards were very misunderstood. Its a honor and a blessing to be among my own kind. I love everyone unconditionally here I must add. Nageetah; I myself do not yet understand what it means, and hopefully one of my siblings here will educate me to its meaning. IsRaeL stands for Isis, Ra and the Elohim; the Egyptian 9 Head Gods and Godesses. Arit, according to the text The Book of the Dead (that title upsets my Spirit) means daughter of as in the jr. which stands for son of. NZinga was an African queen who detested slavery, and so do I. The slavery I AM magnifying is the Spiritual slave which is of every race and creed; to me, race is fiction. So, that is why my name spiritually is Nageetah IsRaeL arit NZinga.

Double Intuition Cards

 

Before moving to a new city at the end of next week, I decided to spend the remaining balance on a gift card I had. I decided to purchase a new Oracle Card deck and was looking at the ones I did not yet own - aiming for a bit of diversity and perhaps some new guidance. I already had: Dolphins/Mermaids, Mayan Language of Light, Fairies, and Spirit Animals. I prefer the smaller 44 (this number has been recurring for me since I was a small child) card decks, which are easier to shuffle, to traditional 72 card tarot deck. 

 

I decided to pass up the Raphael angel deck, even though I am rather fond of Raphael. I also passed up two other decks focused on healing - including a tempting forest-based tarot deck. My healing is coming along rather nicely and instinctively, I don't need any messages about it or to mess with it right now. :) 

 

Angels and Saints, another tempting choice. I had recently discovered my family geneology was an offshoot of Eastern Catholicism and I have always identified with Brighid as my patron Saint. On a recent vacation I found myself, on the railing of a cruise ship, speaking to a Puerto Rican man about never being separated from the Christ-like love in our hearts, and so not having anything to be afraid of. I also have some dear Catholic friends and resonate with a few bands that draw their heritage from their. Nevertheless, it wasn't quite the deck for right now. 

 

There was also another somewhat generic Angels deck and an Archangel specific deck. However, the Archangel deck featured 15 Archangels - a number that doesn't quite fit with how I'm being guided right now. It didn't seem a fit at all. I have many strong Michaels in my life that care for me and I know that Michael is a strong guiding presence in my life, but I also passed up that deck because it was a bit too specific.

Taking care of myself!

 

Yesterday was such a great revelation and increase of energy for me and I AM grateful to all who seem to be resonating with the same messages. One thing I realized was that I AM have to now focus on myself in order to give to the light. I relaxed and let the energy just flow and it has been a great experience. I have such peace but I AM giving more love and light to the Universe than before. In meditation it feels like I AM was looking up only 2 flights and could FEEL all the angels saying slow down and integrate for a while but we are waiting. What a great feeling of LOVE. It is a new day and a new Universe.

Forecasters said wind damage, widespread and extended power outages and coastal and inland flooding were anticipated across a broad swath of the densely populated U.S. East Coast when Sandy comes ashore early next week.

Sandy continues to be a large and dangerous storm and poses a major threat to portions of the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Residents from New England to New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia should begin to prepare for Sandy.

While Sandy is expected to spend much of this weekend as a high-end tropical storm rather than a full-fledged hurricane, in no way does this lessen the danger to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Nearly all computer model forecasts expect Sandy to strengthen again when it interacts with jet stream energy Sunday into Monday.

His jailing comes after the prosecution decided not to appeal against his 18-month prison sentence for leaking papal documents.

Gabriele had been under house arrest since he was found guilty on October 6 of stealing documents from Pope Benedict XIV's apartments. A judicial source said later he would not be appealing against the verdict.

Belo Monte Dam Halted Again

Around one hundred and fifty peaceful protestors, mainly indigenous tribal people and local fishermen effected by the proposed dam have occupied Pimental, one of the four work sites.  If implemented, the dam would flood over 500 square kilometers of forest and villages at an estimated cost of some US$13,000,000,000.

Taking control for the second time in six months, the protestors took truck and machinery keys from the workers who then had to leave the site on foot.  If the dam construction goes ahead the electricity it is expected to generate would be around 11,000 MW (MegaWatts), just over 10% of Brazil's installed capacity for electricity generation.  Local demonstratrs claim that the dam will devastate the great Xingu river and ruin their way of life.

Storm leaves thousands without power in the Northwoods

Donald Pecor says this was the worst storm he's seen in 27 years. He says the winds were so strong in Rhinelander, he thought a tornado was coming.

I admit that expectations have often been a set-up for serious disappointment, especially when dates are applied. I was disappointed last year when I expected visible changes to occur in the geo-political world by the end of October, or by 11-11-11 at the very latest. What I expected did not occur. I'm sure I'm not the only one who felt let down. This year the date of expectation is 12-21-2012, although there have been other dates planted in the collective consciousness throughout the year. People long for real justice on earth, visible manifestation of the age-old promise of peace on Earth. In this I feel confident: expectation of fulfillment of this promise is not blind faith; it is the assurance within our hearts that love will prevail, justice will be rendered, and peace will be realized.

This morning in the call room, I was chatting away with the housekeeping lady in Spanish. There were a lot of babies born last night, and she wanted to know how many were girls and were boys. We were talking like old friends, when she stopped. After thinking carefully, she asked me in a whisper, 'Are you a NURSE or something?"

I smiled. Here she was changing the 'Doctor's Sleep Room' sheets and she had no clue about me!
No...I am a doctor.... and I looked her in the eye and kept smiling.

"Wow! All that work, and everything!" she exclaimed.

I laughed inwardly. Many female physicians are mistaken for nurses. I have experienced this all the way through my career. I used to call my mother and complain about it to her. Want to know what she said? She said, 'People think that nurses are pretty and kind. Think of it as a complement!"

I haven't had a problem with it since.

Today, I was watching 'cooking class' at my kid's school. I was in scrubs, because I had been up all night doing epidurals and anesthesia for cesarean sections. Sasha came up to me and asked, 'Are you a hospital lady?'

I said, yes, indeed, I was.

Another girl asked, 'Are you a veterinarian? I thought you worked at my vet's office? (pointing to the scrubs)'

I laughed, and shared that I had wanted to be a veterinarian, but I am terribly allergic to cats, so I take care of people instead.

"Do you help people?"

Then my son piped up, "Help people? She takes care of people who are so sick they are half dead! And last night? She took care of somebody who was having a baby who was not much older than us! Can you imagine that?"

She nodded in agreement. "That is too young."

One the way home I thought about it.

At exactly 25 percent, Friday's official number was the highest since the Franco dictatorship ended in the mid-1970s, and gives fresh impetus to calls by labor unions for a general strike next month.

GUATEMALA CITY –  Chanting and waving signs to protest high electricity prices, thousands of unarmed indigenous demonstrators blockaded a highway in western Guatemala, forcing a standoff with police. Two truckloads of soldiers arrived and gunfire erupted, killing eight protesters and wounding 34.

What happened next after the Oct. 4 incident was virtually unprecedented in a country scarred by decades of civil war as well as violence against its indigenous majority and years of impunity for its powerful military. A new study by Japanese researchers now shows there are more benefits to looking at pictures of these universal delights than just getting a case of the warm and fuzzies. Afterwards, we concentrate better.

Such is the “Power of Kawaii”, as a paper documenting the research is appropriately titled. The Japanese word “kawaii” means cute. The paper was published in the online edition of the U.S. journal Plos One on Thursday. Through three separate experiments a team of scientists from Hiroshima University showed that people showed higher levels of concentration after looking at pictures of puppies or kittens.

There are techniques that can help us to release past feelings even if we are not fully aware of those troubling feelings.

One way is to notice when one is upset with someone else. This kind of upset means that the person is somehow activating unconscious pain – or it may be that we perceive their pain and feel responsible for it.

The Visions Have Returned

 

In the past, I would have visions. At times when I would try to go to sleep, I would see these, movies I will call them. They used to scare the hell out if me. This morning, when I tried to rest, I got a vision. It was a real filled out little bush, bright and green. The bush began to spread out, rapidly. Once it got a certain size, the middle disappeared, and the bush was then shaped like I reef. The ground in the middle was very furtle looking, a dark, moist, dirt, I could smell the fresh dirt. What this means has several different meaning in my mind, not sure which one is correct. I was glad that the visions have returned because I now embrace them. I am no longer afraid of who or what I am.

We are entering a window of time that is going to be rocky so we need to undertake special measures.  This window of time opens Saturday and continues through November 6.  When we have energy that is difficult to navigate, I usually suggest some type of technique like being the wise owl peering out from within its tree.  The energy is much too strong for that and requires something much more substantial.  This energy is going to batter us emotionally, mentally, and physically, so we need to transform into a massive, rocky shore that will resist the pounding.  The energy will come in waves during this time - some days will pound harder than others.  Events in the world will reflect this.  I am not discussing this to "front load" or create a reality; I am discussing this so that you understand what is happening if you start to have trouble.  If you feel yourself getting emotionally overwhelmed, the thing to do is ground yourself as if you were a rocky cliff - a part of the landscape of the Earth herself.  Picture this cliff as rooted deep within the Earth.  When things get difficult, go inside yourself and follow the rock down.  We will need a strong barrier to maintain equilibrium.

This has been such a long journey with many mountains to climb, but thankfully we are nearing the end. Sit quietly and think about it for a moment. Think about all you have met along the way, the lies that have been revealed and how they changed our lives, the constant shifting and expansion of our consciousness, the ah ha moments that keep exploding in our minds, the ability to see what staying in our heart does for our life, the downfall of the old paradigm, the new paradigm slowly moving into place in small ways, our continual coming together in thought and spirit and so much more. It has happened and is happening everyday and often people don’t take the time to realize the magnitude of what is taking place. It truly is remarkable!

The community of awake wayseers has grown steadily and our connections with each other have strengthened as well. The love from so many hearts burns brightly around the world and the vibration is being felt by all. This vibration is powerful and is directing a great deal of what is going on in the world right now. No matter what negative energies are being pulsed out into the universe the love vibration is trying hard to negate it and shift it into a higher state. Love conquers all, how long have we all heard that saying and now we are coming to the full realization of just what that means.

It’s not easy to ask for help, is it?  We wander around this plane trying to figure out who we are, getting stuck here or there, not knowing what to do next.  We are hampered by this unwillingness to seek help.

      

       “Who can do it alone?”, we could ask.  Well, no one, apparently.  We all rely on each other at some level.  There are days when we feel strong and days when we feel weak.  Leaning on each other is a necessary requisite to getting by in this life.  Culture can say what it wants about “doing it alone” or that “men are stronger than women”.  The fact is we need each other in times of weakness and it doesn’t matter what gender steps up to lend a hand. 

      

       When we are too tired or ill to do it ourselves, we need to reach out and take that hand, to let someone help and pull us free of the swamp. Better than drowning, isn’t it?  Better than giving up altogether.

Try This Sunday Morning Light Meditation

 

Sunday mornings are special.  They seem more quiet and peaceful than other days.  I think of all of the people sitting in church just as I did many years ago.  I searched for many years for all that "religion" promised.  Looking back, I see in my confusion, fear and ignorance that my intentions were pure and of love and light.  So now every Sunday morning in my meditations, I picture the church down the street and the pews lined with people.  I ask that their "good intentions" raise up into a column of light above their heads...a pillar of white light for the purity of their intentions.  I ask this also for the person next to them, and the one next to them.  For each and every person in this church, for their lights of pure intention join as one, and spin upward connecting to the Unity Consciousness Grid.  Then I envision other churches in the area, and the churches that I used to attend doing the same.  One by one, I create the vision of all the churches in my city and surrounding towns and in my state joining into one brilliant light.  I bring in the churches in surrounding states and envision them all from one coast to the other.  I try to envision all the pure intentions of all these people everywhere joining as one light rising up and connecting to the grid.  I ask that their pure intentions of love and light be used to strengthen the grid and be used for the highest good.  I then ask these people's "I AM" presence to stir them to seek truth and to find their way on this sacred path.  I end this meditation by joing my love, light and intentions to the grid.  This is a very powerful meditation to do on Sunday mornings.  Enjoy!

The one thing I can say I am sure of, we are building to something intensely incredible in our fields of life.  It was another very strange day in the field yesterday.  I have got to thank everyone so much for their extreme patience and understanding with me when we are in a reading.  See something doesn’t always relate to understanding what is being shown.  This was par for my course yesterday.  Even as I type that (slight frustration) out… I hear this quote from spirit “The power and energy is held in the visual, not the understanding of the visual.”  (Easy for them to say!!)

So, let’s get powered up!!

In all the readings of the day, there was not a single detail presented in what I would call out “present moment,”  it seems we have moved to the threshold of October/November energies and are en massing what is needed.  Completely and utterly changing into our new form.  My last reading of the day gave us this word to go with it all “Molecular infusion.”

So my first lady of the day was all piled up near this super shiny gold dividing line keeping all we are going thru in October contained… At this thin dividing line, so much molecular energy was piled up like a snow back to the top of that dividing line and sloped down to near her present moment area.  And then I seen the most amazing image ever.  I have found an image that closely (but not fully accurately) resembles what I had seen:

 

 

On the sun’s surface was very much like the energy shown in this picture, only it formed a spiral of energy flowing constantly to the center.  I could barely take my eyes off of the image, and nothing would give us full understanding of what it meant to her… to us!  This image was presented just behind her snow bank of energy, directly at that dividing line slightly deeper into her west field than the snow (and I mean just slightly, it was right next to it.)

Learning what was really important

 

I have been working on a video for the Press.  I put it together and saw the light in all of the eyes of the people that are in the video.  I fell in love with each and every one of them.  I wanted a certain music for the video which could not be used because of copyright infringement rules.  I kept trying and trying and then decided that I was hitting a brick wall and that is not where I wanted to go.

 

I have now decided the important part of doing this video and it is the love that is important and the love and light of the group.

 

When I got to the picture of Mother and Father God I knew that I was now back on track and that Love is the real message.

PictureHello everyone.  Today we’ll continue with our Quest for another 6 days.  What’s been going on for me is that I took the words from our first day and absorbed them into every fiber of my being.  A sort of battle ensued.

I am not sure what instigated it – perhaps the combination of the “Day of Decision” meditation and our Quest did the trick.  It was no longer possible to be partially or half way in- I was either in or out.  It became time to walk my talk – it was Agape or continued self loathing.  I had to make a choice.
This was not a choice that could be made on face book or in this blog.  This choice had to spring from my soul.  It was not easily made and not pretty to watch.

It began with nothing to say, and then proceeded along with a litany of reasons to despise who I was.  I gradually began to speak.  I believe my body had a decision to make.  The influx of light from Sunday’s meditation and love from everyone here brought me to a choice point.  Was I love or was I a ‘poser?

I gave up for a day or so – there was no light.  Perhaps you’d call this my Dark Night of the Soul.  It felt that way. I’ve had one before, many years ago.  I didn’t know you could have more than one.
