50 Countries Label Genetically Engineered Foods – When Will Americans have the Right to Know and Choose?

The greatest opportunity to give people the right to know if their food is genetically engineered will occur with the California ballot initiative – officially known as Proposition 37 – which is coming up for vote on November 6. Proposition 37 will require labeling of genetically engineered foods, and end the routine industry practice of labeling and marketing such foods as "natural." Your support, regardless of what state you live in, can make all the difference between winning and losing.

Sinkhole grows, hits Assumption business and home values

The sinkhole in Assumption Parish keeps getting bigger. The parish's director of homeland security and emergency preparedness, John Boudreaux, says a 15-hundred square foot section of the earth caved in last week, pulling down several trees and part of a road.
 

The road that caved in was built to assist in the cleanup efforts. The sinkhole is about four acres in size and has grown since it emerged on August third.

Curiosity Finds Evidence of An Ancient Streambed on Mars

The Curiosity rover has come across a place in Gale Crater where ankle-to-hip-deep water once vigorously flowed: an ancient streambed containing evidence of gravel that has been worn by water. At a press briefing today, members of the Mars Science Laboratory team said the rover has found “surprising” outcrops and gravel near the rover landing site that indicate water once flowed in this region, and likely flowed for a long time.

Major pharmaceutical companies undeterred as profits continue to rise

Settlements between pharmaceutical companies and state and federal governments over cases of Medicaid fraud are at an all time high, with financial penalties for major drug companies on the rise, according to a new report by Public Citizen. However, as Public Citizen urged Thursday, much still needs to be done in order to curb big pharma malpractice, as major profits still largely outweigh the costs of legal penalties, making it difficult to deter future violations.

The charges against major pharmaceutical companies accused of defrauding their Medicaid programs, include overcharging health programs, largely in the form of drug pricing fraud, as well as unlawful promotion of 'off-label' drugs (promoting drugs for unapproved uses).

I am starting to manifest things. Yesterday I manifested a catfish dinner, pineapple, and a japanese modern 'bento style' lunch box. It didn't pop up out of thin air, but through the course of the day these objects came to me through this pattern:

1) I think of it, like, 'I really would like to have X'

2) in the course of the day, it 'pops up' into my consciousness, for example,

 I walk into Curry House Restaurant for first time, with friends who are regulars, and the Special of The Day, on a poster, is catfish and curry and rice

3) I recognize 'this is for me' and I give thanks for it, order it, and enjoy.
