Silver's picture

Weatherzone, By: Ben McBurney, 01/17/2014

Victoria's unprecedented record-breaking heatwave is on its final stretch; however, large parts of the state are expected to see their fourth or fifth consecutive day in the 40s before a squally change arrives bringing a significant drop in the mercury. Today, Melbourne is likely to see its fourth consecutive day in the 40s, the first time this has occurred since 1908 when five consecutive days were observed. This comes the day after reaching 43.9 degrees, its hottest day since Black Saturday.

Mike Quinsey ~ SaLuSa 17 January 2014

From our vantage point your Earth shines out like a jewel in the firmament, and makes it known to all observers that the Light is once again returning. With your input and our assistance it will continue to do so, and no outside influence will be able to stop or hinder it. It has been decreed that this cycle will end in victory for the Light, and this was planned eons of time ago.

You can therefore leave the old behind that has served its purpose, and indeed eventually only the higher vibrations will exist. Hitherto, the cycles have ended with massive Earth changes, so much so that little evidence has remained of earlier civilizations. However, now that necessary lessons have been learnt, the experiences have brought about the desired upliftment in the levels of consciousness. This was required to bring those souls who were ready to ascend, to a level where they could do so and complete their experiences in the lower vibrations. This is normal when a cycle reaches a stage of completion.

Clipper 2 - Current Radar

Fast-moving Alberta clippers will continue to bring snow, gusty winds and cold air to parts of the Midwest, Great Lakes and the East into the weekend. On Tuesday, the first in this parade of clipper systems brought significant accumulating snow to parts of the Upper Midwest. We saw a few amounts in excess of 10 inches in central Wisconsin, with 11 inches reported at Oconto, Wis. Lighter amounts fell over parts of the Dakotas and Minnesota. Into this weekend, we are tracking a few more of these Alberta clippers, including one that is producing blizzard conditions.

Exoplanet Found Orbiting Distant Sun-like Star

By: Miriam Kramer, 01/16/2014

Scientists using a powerful telescope in Chile have found an alien planet circling a star that is nearly identical to the sun and located in a star cluster 2,500 light-years from Earth. The discovery marks the first time that scientists have found an exoplanet circling a solar twin in a star cluster, according to European Southern Observatory officials, the group that operates the telescope instrument that made the discovery. Scientists used ESO’s HARPS telescope instrument to find the exoplanet, which is a little smaller than Jupiter and takes seven days to orbit its star. The strange world, along with two other exoplanets also found by the HARPS instrument, are located in Messier 67, a star cluster populated by about 500 stars.

Dian Fossey, an American zoologist who spent nearly 20 years studying mountain gorillas in Africa, is honored in today’s Google doodle. She would have been 82. Fossey, born on Jan. 16, 1932 in San Francisco, first traveled to Africa in 1963 for a six-week sabbatical, according to The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International. In 1966, she began a research program on gorillas in the Congo, but was forced to leave due to political strife. She founded a research center in Rwanda in 1967, where she remained to study and protect gorillas until 1985, when she was murdered in her cabin. The case is still open, The Guardian reports.

Extreme Fire Danger, Record Highs in California as Drought Worsens

Silver's picture

By: Chris Dolce, 01/16/2014

The weather pattern along the West Coast this week is one that was all too common last year and led to a record dry 2013 in California. A dominant ridge, or dome of high pressure aloft, is acting as a block to any precipitation in the Golden State. Not only does this so-called ridge prevent Pacific weather systems from affecting California with rain and snow, it's also leading to offshore winds, record high temperatures and a high fire danger this week.

YES to all explorations down rabbit holes and YES to the film “NO”!

Jean Haines has been promising a blockbuster post for a number of days now, and she delivered — to some extent. (Where is the mention of Eisenhower meeting with ETs? for example.) “Down the Rabbit Hole” connects lots of dots, most of which is not new to me or others who think in terms of patterns of understanding, but all of which, taken together, shine light in the darkest corners of the ET-technology- infected shadow government that runs us, and wants to run us into the ground, so to speak — and little does it know, but that’s where many of us feel most comfortable, on the ground, in communion with Mother Earth, as her antennae and stewards, helping to regenerate this 3D world by re-infusing spirit into matter.

TPP: Poison for Local Community Resilience

By: Richard Heinberg, 01/15/2014

The past couple of decades of globalization have been a disaster for planetary ecosystems, indigenous peoples, and most middle-class citizens, but a gravy train for big investors, investment bankers, and managers of transnational corporations. This unprecedented expansion of international trade was driven by the convergence of key resources, developments, and inventions: cheap oil, satellite communications, container ships, computerized monitoring of inventories, the flourishing of multinational corporations, the proliferation of liberal trade treaties (including NAFTA), and the emergence of transnational bodies such as the World Trade Organization.

The Spiritual Eye: How to Decalcify & Activate Your Pineal Gland

Comets Kick Up Dust in Helix Nebula

This article will presume you have a basic knowledge of the pineal gland, an important endocrine gland that is said to be the seat of enlightenment. If you need to back up a little and inform yourself more about what the pineal gland is, you can start here before reading further. Activating your pineal gland, or spiritual ‘eye’ and detoxing it are two different things. In essence, the detoxification allows you to remove the crystallized deposits, which keep the gland as a caged bird, or a princess jailed in her own ivory tower. Once the pineal gland is decalcified, you can start to practice things which will help to ‘turn it on’ and amp up natural production of your body’s own psychedelic drug DMT.
